Hike to the bottom of a rugged canyon or simply relax by the campfire. Kayak under a full-moon or challenge your kids to mini-golf. Tee off at scenic golf course or photograph wildlife in the Okefenokee Swamp. Which adventure will you choose?
Stay a While: Camping -- Whether you’re piloting a 40-foot motorhome or packing a four-pound tent, we have a campsite for you. Site-specific reservations are available at many state parks.
Glamping Yurts -- Luxury-loving guests will enjoy our version of glamour camping. Yurts are like a cross between camping and a cabin, with furniture inside and hot showers nearby.
Cabins -- A wide variety of cottage styles, ranging from one to three bedrooms, are offered at more than 30 state parks. Guests enjoy fishing and hiking right outside their door, plus beautiful scenery in all directions.
Adventure Lodges -- Stay in comfort at our hotel-style lodges with conference space, restaurants and golf courses.
Programs & Parks After Dark: Georgia’s state park rangers offer a wide variety of programs for all ages. Throughout 2018, our “Parks After Dark” theme will showcase the unseen side of parks. Join us for programs such as astronomy, frog frolicks, candlelit tours and full-moon hikes.
Tour Historic Sites: Georgia’s Historic Sites mix entertainment with education, where you can explore Revolutionary War forts, ancient Indian mounds, Civil War battlefields, presidential homes, picturesque plantations and even our nation’s first gold rush.
Basics: You’ll pay only $5 to park at a Georgia State Park, and many activities are free. Frequent visitors can save money with a $50 Annual ParkPass.
Reservations for camping, cabins, shelters and more facilities may be made 13 months in advance.
Leashed dogs are welcome in regular campgrounds, select cottages with advance reservations, and most trails. Owners must be with their pets at all times.
A variety of discounts are available to seniors 62 and older, disabled veterans, military and Friends of Georgia State Parks members.
