“Experience the grandest of canyons”
Here, at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, you can best experience the grandest of canyons. Here, you can experience the canyon's colors, shadows and formations in quiet reflection and repose. Settle into a western log cabin or a timbered guest room. Take an easy hike along the rim or ride a mule along steep trails into the canyon. Pause to watch the antics of a foraging squirrel. Head to the lodge and simply watch a summer storm roll up the canyon. And listen. Listen to the way a breeze blows through the pinions and ponderosas.
Gorgeous views. More mountain climate and less crowded which was a nice change from the South Rim. The lodge has great views from the patios where I enjoyed the "Teddy" Bear from Rough Rider saloon. Very relaxing. Good and faulty easy hikes from lodge to see more view points. The cabin we stayed in is very basic and has no air conditioning. It got pretty hot, but was doable in June. Also it was pretty noisy. Can hear the other people in adjoining cabin and the golf carts that were around. But it is a gorgeous place.
